Public Sale of Tickets Begins Soon for OHSAA State Basketball Tournaments
Sales begin Feb. 13 for boys and girls all-session books and girls single-session tickets

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Plenty of all-session and single-session tickets will be available for the 2012 Ohio High School Athletic Association Boys and Girls State Basketball Tournaments, and public sales of tickets for both tournaments will begin soon through Ticketmaster or in person at The Ohio State University’s Jerome Schottenstein Center, the site of both state tournaments that take place in March.

Public All-Session Ticket Sales Begin Monday for OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament
Availability Expected for Both All-Session and Single-Session Tickets

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Public all-session ticket sales for the 2012 Ohio High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Tournament begin Monday, January 30, at 10:00 a.m., and plenty of tickets are expected to be available. The state tournament is March 1, 2 and 3 at the Jerome Schottenstein Center on the campus of The Ohio State University in Columbus. The cost for an all-session ticket book (five sessions) is $75 each for the Entry and Club Levels and $55 each for the Terrace Level.

Fort Recovery rolls over Minster

Fort Recovery hosted Minster in a MAC game on Friday,January 20. The Indians were playing their first game after suffering their first loss of the season last Saturday at the Flyin To The Hoop Classic. Some wondered how the Indians would react to that loss especially facing an always tough Minster squad that was picked to be one of the favorites of the conference. Fort Recovery showed no ill effects as they rolled to a 56-32 win.

Adam Niemeyer gave Minster the early lead when he hit the first basket of the game. It would be Minster's only lead of the game as Wade Gelhaus,Jared Kahlig and Ben Dilworth scored before Niemeyer hit a three-pointer. Gelhaus scored a couple of baskets for FR before Niemeyer hit his third bucket of the quarter to cut FR's lead to 10-7. Jason Pottkotter put back an offensive rebound and Jared Kahlig scored to give the Indians a 14-7 lead at the break.

With 661 career wins to her name, Notre Dame head coach Muffet McGraw knows a thing or two about women's college basketball.

Sporting a Notre Dame pull-over, the Hall-of-Fame head coach took in some action on Sunday at the 9th annual Classic in the Country in Berlin, Ohio.

"It's an amazing event for the fans," said McGraw. "It is a great atmosphere for the players and a great stage. It has the atmosphere of a state tournament."

McGraw won the 2001 National Championship with the Irish and sports a 17-1 record and number-two ranking in the country. They were the runners-up in last year's National Championship. This past summer, she received the honor of the Hall-of-Fame.
